DESI COW GOODNESS

Description

From the royal pastures of Karnataka comes our Amritmahal Ghee, a ghee with a warrior's legacy. The Amrit Mahal breed, once the prized cattle of the Vijayanagara Empire and Tipu Sultan's cavalry, is known for its exceptional strength, endurance, and the unparalleled richness of its A2 milk.

These majestic cows graze on open grasslands, feeding on nutrient-dense wild grasses that give their milk a distinct creaminess and full-bodied flavour. Our Amritmahal Ghee carries a bold, slightly sweet aroma with a lustrous yellow-gold colour, a true testament to the vitality of this extraordinary breed. This is ghee the way royalty intended it: unadulterated, powerful, and deeply nourishing.

How It's Made

Source with Integrity – Milk is sourced from nomadic herders (Gowlis) who have raised Amrit Mahal cattle for generations.

Clay Pot Fermentation – The rich A2 milk is boiled and set into curd using earthen pots that naturally enhance probiotic activity.

Bilona Churning – Skilled hands churn the curd with a wooden bilona, separating the nutrient-rich makkhan.

Mitti ka Swad – The makkhan is slow-cooked on a gentle flame, allowing the true essence of the soil and grass to infuse into the ghee.

Uses of Amrit Mahal Ghee

High-Heat Cooking – Excellent for deep frying and high-temperature cooking due to its high smoke point

Dals & Rotis – A spoonful over steaming dal or freshly made rotis elevates any meal

Ayurvedic Therapies – Used in Panchakarma and Ayurvedic massages for its warming, penetrating properties

Joint Health – Mix with warm milk and turmeric for a natural joint lubricant

Prasadam – The preferred choice for temple offerings and festive sweets

FAQ's

Q: What makes Nandi's Blessing oil "bull-pressed"?
  • It’s extracted using a graniteghaniturned by our indigenous Malnad Gidda and Desi Jawari bulls—zero electricity, zero machinery. This slow, sacred method keeps the oil below 27°C, preserving every nutrient naturally.
Q: Why is cold-pressing below 27°C important?
  • Heat destroys delicate nutrients, flavour, and aroma in oils. Pressing below 27°C ensures your groundnut oil retains its full natural goodness, just as nature intended.
Q: Is this oil truly chemical-free?
  • Absolutely. From our single-origin heirloom seeds to the final bottle, no chemicals, solvents, or preservatives touch your oil—only a traditional bull-driven wooden press.
Q: How fresh is the oil when I receive it?
  • We press fresh every week and ship within the same week. You receive oil that’s genuinely farm-to-table, not sitting in warehouses for months.
Q: Can I use this oil for deep frying?
  • Better suited for low-to-medium flame cooking, tempering, and raw uses like salads. Its unrefined purity is best preserved with gentle heat—save deep frying for lower-quality oils.
